Out of the way, no adhesives or suction cup failure. Clips in over the vent, not in it and does not restrict air flow from the vent. Simple, strong hold, sturdy and the phone slides into the holder so easily and conveniently. I've had it for 2 weeks now and I love it, especially with my line of work, It's essential I have access to my phone while in car. I highly recommend this holder. Make sure its for your specific model and year. Review: Does Not Work for 2021 Toyota Rav4 - Returned first one because it was missing the proper connecting bracket. Replacement included the proper bracket, but it still did not work. There is nothing for the dash plate / bracket to actually secure it to the vent. It simply sits up against the vent. Due to the angle of the 2021 RAV4's dash, the weight of the holder, without the phone, is too heavy and it simply falls off. It attaches to the vent securely. The method of holding the phone is workable but not exceptionally easy to use. It is a good compromise though. When using a magnetic mount, it's usually impossible to use cordless charging, with this item, you don't need the metal plate, so cordless charging is possible. However, with your phone adjacent to the vent, the heater often will overheat my phone. This device does allow for some adjustment of where the phone is in relation to the vent. The device is workable, but not perfect.
