I noticed quite by accident one time that if I drank a coconut water when I was having an episode, the episodes seemed to end not too long after. Consequently, even though I hate the flavor of coconut water I was always forcing it down, and always taking it everywhere with me. So that was my normal, until I got a new job. My new job involves a lot of walking and a lot of exercise. Suddenly, not only was I having long lasting arrhythmia episodes, I was also getting leg cramps (Charlie Horses) and my migraines were getting really bad. I went from having a migraine every couple of months to having one every week, sometimes for days at a time. It was nasty. I realized that I couldn't live like that, and I tuned up my web medical degree (just joking, I am definitely not a doctor of any sort) and started reading about potassium. I decided that potassium was definitely worth a try. Since it said that you would have to eat 10 bananas to get your daily potassium dose (can you say hello constipation?) I figured that the powder would be a lot easier and would not gag me like coconut water. So this is how I got to where I have been taking a half of a teaspoon of this potassium daily. It has been working really well for me! I have had only 1 migraine and no leg cramps in the last month or so. I have still had some mild arrhythmias, but they have not been strong and have not lasted long at all. I don't care for the taste of the potassium, so I mix it with powdered Gatorade that I of course bought here on desertcart (the blue flavor called Glacier Freeze is my favorite for hiding the flavor). At first, I immediately jumped into a "large" dose of the potassium when I got it because I was feeling really desperate (1 teaspoon 2x per day for the first 5 days). It didn't upset my stomach. Strangely enough the first few times that I took it I felt really relaxed and sleepy like I had just had a glass of wine but without the buzz. I then backed down to the half a teaspoon per day and it seems to be working. To reiterate, I am not a doctor, and I cannot begin to guess what might work for you. But for me, this powder has been amazing. I am a much happier person. P.S. I was not paid or reimbursed for this review. I am just sharing my experience because I really wish that I had found this stuff a long time ago. They claim 800mg = teaspoon, so 800mg powder would have approx 288 mg potassium. Therefore a teaspoon of product is 288mg usable potassium. If indeed 800mg product equals a teaspoon **Q: How much potassium is in one serving/scoop?** A: No, 1 scoop is 275 mg potassium citrate, which is 99 mg elemental potassium... **Q: How small/big is the scoop? A tsp?** A: If you get a milligram scale, and weigh the contents of the plastic scoop - and compare to the weight of a level 1/8 tsp (I used a metal spoon with a scraper) - the results differ by 100+ mg. Also - because of the clinginess (my best guess) of the product, taking 4 separate weighed measurements from both the plastic scoop and a 1/8 tsp measure - each measure will vary.
