Review: We bought this for quail. It's similar to the metal dog crates, but the metal is a little thinner. Smaller quail can fit right through the openings, not to mention predators like raccoons can reach right in it and grab your animals. I knew this before I even bought it though, and already planned to add hardware cloth to it. If you own chickens, ducks, rabbits, quail, or any other prey animal, you're going to have to reinforce just about anything you can buy commercially. So I don't fault the product for that. For the price, it's a great starting point. It was relatively easy to put together. It's helpful to have a second person though. My only real concern with this product is the doors are a bit flimsy. The latches work fine, but being thinner metal, the doors could potentially be pried open. All-in-all though - with adding hardware cloth - I think this should keep our quail safe. It's got an attractive appearance and is a good value for the money. I would buy it again.

**Q: How big are the door openings?**
A: I'd say about a foot in a half. It's working great but getting them out is puzzle.

**Q: Does this hold up to rain? Will it rust?**
A: I have not used it outside. In my personal opinion, as it is, it will not hold up to rain; however, I would give it a coat of rustoleum clear coat (comes in a spray). It is a nice containment area and I use it for my rabbits. Love all the access points it has.

**Q: Can I use it as cat run, under my supervision? It is an indoor cat and I would like to let him out on the backyard for a bit.**
A: You probably could. But you would need to secure it because a cat could go after something and tumble it over unless you use the prongs they provide to secure it to the ground. It's almost the length of a double wide garage door.

**Q: How many doors?**
A: At least five.

We bought this to transition our baby chicks in with our older chickens. This fits perfectly into our run. We have 9 chicks in here and they have plenty of space. It was easy to assemble. The quality is good for the price. There is no predator protection to this so you may need to modify in order to make it safer. This is a good temporary solution for the transition into the large coop, but I'm not sure if it would work long term for us.
