## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this connect to the computer to save the photos onto hard drive or do you need the SD card?**
A: You will HAVE to have an SD Card as well as the appropriate connection to you r computer. I find this a very simple way to get my 110 126 and 35 MM slides digitized. While I am sure a professional would achieve better results I am quite happy with the results. BTW this will work with windows 10 quite well. If you have slides that are over exposed you can adjust them with the SCANZA and again with the windows software to enhance the images.

**Q: Are the Reels for 8mm film scanning included or are they an extra cost? None are shown in the advertisement?**
A: If you’re looking to scan 8mm and Super8 films into movie files, try this unit:

Wolverine 8mm and Super8 Reels Movie Digitizer with 2.4" LCD, Black (Film2Digital MovieMaker) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KA32HH0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_pQF2Ab8TYXTB3

It works well and is simple to operate.

**Q: what is the final resolution?**
A: Actually, the question of "resolution" is too often misunderstood. This is capable of 14 megapixels, actually much higher resolution than the film itself and there is no adjustments, it is what it is.

I've been duplicating film for decades, and honestly for film formats that the Scanza excepts the film resolution is far smaller For example, I just finished scanning more than 5,000 family slides, going back to 1943. You need to look at the final display device, for example a HD TV which has a resolution of about 1040 pixels wide. 300 dpi is high quality, captures every single detail with a flatbed scanner. So for an HD TV I scan to 1800 x 1200 pixels which is less than 3 Megapixels. That resolution also makes a top quality 4 x 6 picture! If I was going to make an 8 x 10 picture, I'd scan at 2400 x 3000 pixels (always consider you final display size). Honestly, I've scanned my 35mm at the 1800 x 1200 (300 dpi) resolution, and at 9600 dpi and, I found absolutely no difference in detail whatsoever.... all you get is hugely large files. Scanning at resolutions higher than what your end product requires provides no advantage at all.

**Q: How fast does it scan? I have about 4000 negatives.**
A: I personally did about 6,000 in 30 hours the biggest problem is if the negatives are in sheets and you have to remove and replace them
