I kept the softer one & this one is for my partner who finds it helpful when sitting at his PC. This is a firmer well shaped cushion, firmness on a scale from 1 to 5 I'd say it's definitely 5, my partner agrees. I prefer a bit more padding as this one is lower in height & you will not sink in as much. He finds it helps to support a better posture & the sensitivity around the coccyx is reduced. Also the quality is great, material seems long wearing and it's portable of course. Personally I feel that you can only decide whether it'd suit you once you actually sat on it, bit like buying a new mattress, some like a softer one & others a firmer type for comfort.
