We bought his first whales from schleich about June last year and they are great. My son’s love of whales has continued to grow so we wanted to get a few more species but "schleich” was too expensive (and Papo even more) . Then I found this humpback by collectA that looked really good and was really reasonably priced so we got that and it did not disappoint! It’s really well made and realistic and my son was sooo happy! We have since acquired most whales fromCollectA ( gray , bowhead, beaked, sperm, beluga, pilot and Ganges river dolphin ) and they are all great though the baleen whales are my son’s favourite. My son does everything with them, they sleep with him, they are by his side when he eats, and at bath time , the absolute best part of the day! He takes them everywhere, apart from nursery . They remain in great shape while the "schleich “ have been loosing some of the coloured rubber ( I don’t mind this as it actually makes them look liked aged cetaceans but might be an important factor for some people).
