This practical Bible guide shares all your family's favorite stories, plus some that may be new, combining a theologian's expertise with engaging narratives that will draw kids into the good news of the world's greatest, truest tale. God's Big Picture Bible Storybook is for children ages 6 to 10; is the first children's book written by scholar and professor Tom (N.T.) Wright; identifies story parallels across the Bible that show kids that all of God's Word matters; includes 140 short stories, each vividly illustrated by award-winning artist Helena Perez Garcia; and shows the intention behind God's stories and the hope for salvation they provide. N.T. Wright wants his readers to discover the many surprising ways in which one Bible story echoes another, and how different stories contribute to the one very good and very big story of God's love for creation--a story that unfolds over the centuries, until at last it is fully revealed in the life and teaching of Jesus. Young readers will be fascinated and delighted as they hear the echoes and spot the visual links between the pictures and the stories. Not only that, they will be thrilled to discover that this is not just a story involving people who lived long ago: it's a living and enduring story, a story in which God invites them to be involved as well! Review: Great kids Bible with nice illustrations - I wanted a Bible to read to a wide age of kids before bed. Often I find the stories of other options are really dumbed down or miss the point entirely (as a pastor, I’m a bit sensitive to this). Overall, I really like this Bible by NT Wrights. The stories are all basically 1 spread of pages, have nice illustrations, and accurately represent the Scripture. My kids were 6, 9, and 12 when I got this. It was slightly underage for the 12 year old, but the others connected well with it, and I like it. I personally think this is a great choice for reading to your kids or letting them read to themselves and being able to understand what they’re reading. Review: Well written and beautiful children’s Bible - If you read this children’s bible, you can really tell that it’s written by a scholar and theologian. There are concepts and topics conveyed in this bible that I’ve never encountered in other children’s bible, like the Levitical sacrifices, the stories of the prophets, like Ezekiel. My kids and I have yet to read through the entire thing, but so far, I love it. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and my five year old loves flipping through it. It’s definitely geared toward elementary age, as there are more complex topics and stories included. I think it’s a great resource for any parent wanting to impart to their children a deep understanding of the biblical worldview. One great detail is that in every story there is a “link” to other stories, to show how the stories and themes are connected. Buy this book, it’s great! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #6,908 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #18 in Children's Christian Prayer Books (Books) #19 in Children's Bible Reference & Interpretation #19 in Children's Bible Study | | Customer Reviews | 4.9 out of 5 stars 485 Reviews | ## Images ![God's Big Picture Bible Storybook: 140 Connecting Bible Stories of God's Faithful Promises (God’s Big Picture Bible Stories) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91G9UhFVLTL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great kids Bible with nice illustrations *by A***R on November 12, 2025* I wanted a Bible to read to a wide age of kids before bed. Buy this book, it’s great! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderfull Illustrations and Presentation. *by J***R on March 29, 2024* I purchased six different Children's Bibles, but this was definitely the best! My 5 year old grandson loved the colorful illustrations, simple yet detailed and realistic. He chose this book as his favorite, largely due to the illustrations. Each story had just the right amount of information for a young child, contained on one page per story with one illustration on the facing page. Many stories are connected to other stories in the Bible with colorful endnotes, offering more information for an older child, or even adults. The entire book has the foundation of a leading Bible Scholar, N.T. Wright, who presents the content as God's big story. I was delighted with the number of Bible stories included, since half the book covers the New Testament. This 290 page book includes six maps and a detailed index. I highly recommend for children 3-9 years old. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/547462982-gods-big-picture-bible-storybook-140-connecting-bible-stories-gods](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/547462982-gods-big-picture-bible-storybook-140-connecting-bible-stories-gods) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
