The binoculars seem like they actually have some magnification, they feel sturdy and like the girls could pretty rough with them and they would hold up! I was pleasantly surprised the vest and hat are made from a nice soft but sturdy material and look very cute. The girls both loved all the pockets and putting their buttons on it. I really appreciated the hat has a velcro break away just in case. The compass does not seem accurate at all but honestly that wasn't a huge problem for us. We didn't realize the flashlights have a little lock for the squeeze mechanism so at first we thought they were broken. Overall definitely worth the money!
