## Description

The DMV Scleral Cup is an excellent tool to simply and easily insert larger hard and scleral contact lenses as well as prosthetic eyes. FOR SCLERAL LENS INSERTION - Lightly squeeze the handle of the Scleral Cup and place the properly wetted contact lens on the open end of the cup. Gently position the contact lens on the surface of the eye. Squeeze the handle again to release the Scleral Cup from the lens. FOR PROSTHETIC EYE REMOVAL - Squeeze the tapered handle of the DMV Scleral Cup and carefully apply it onto the surface of the prosthetic eye. When the Scleral Cup has been seated properly on the prosthetic eye, release the squeeze pressure to apply suction and gently remove the prosthesis from the eye socket. Remove the prosthetic lens from the Scleral Cup by squeezing the handle again. CLEANING: Wash the Scleral Cup frequently in warm soapy water and allow to air dry.

Review: Product works just fine but irritating to have to pay this much for something that may cost a few cents to manufacture. They call this a lens inserter but to me a ventless unit makes more sens for lens extraction, when you actually need the suction. If you want to use these for lens insertion just cut a small vent hole in the side or bottom. You don't want suction when inserting a scleral lens. If you make a vent hole in the side then you can use this for insertion and removal just by covering the vent hole with your finger when you need suction to remove a lens. For me, lens rempval with these is easier than using the tiny plunger supplied with the scleral lenses.

Product works just fine but irritating to have to pay this much for something that may cost a few cents to manufacture. They call this a lens inserter but to me a ventless unit makes more sens for lens extraction, when you actually need the suction. If you want to use these for lens insertion just cut a small vent hole in the side or bottom. You don't want suction when inserting a scleral lens. If you make a vent hole in the side then you can use this for insertion and removal just by covering the vent hole with your finger when you need suction to remove a lens.
