CMS Magnetics® 4" x 6" Green Magnetic Field Viewing Film uses millions of nano magnetic particles encapsulated in a flexible green film to visually reveal magnetic field patterns. Ideal for professionals and educators, it provides a clear, real-time view of magnetic poles and field strength by changing shades based on magnetic orientation. Lightweight and durable, it’s a hands-on tool for magnetic analysis, STEM education, and interactive demonstrations.

## Description

The same film is used by professionals such as engineers, developers and researchers to find out the magnetic field distribution when a group of magnets is involved. It is also used in the manufacturing industry to form the internal defect of a steel part in conjunction with an X-ray machine. The green foil contains millions of nano magnetic particles that can rotate freely when you are near a steel object or a permanent magnet. When the magnetic particles change their orientation, the reflection rate of the light also changes to the magnetic field below. This is why the film changes shades when a magnetic field is applied. The film becomes darker when the magnetic field lines are perpendicular to the surface, and brighter when the field lines are horizontal, i.e. across the surface. When a rod is placed under it, the magnet will appear as a darker area with a lighter outline. When both poles are placed under the film, the areas near the two poles are dark, but the edge of the two poles is displayed as a light line, so you can determine the pole orientations. Our images show the two same dimensions, but differently magnetized. The film is also highly flexible and can be easily wrapped around magnetic assemblies. Tips & Uses: 1. Place the film near the magnet to observe the pattern changes so you can see how the magnet is magnetized and where the magnetic rods are located on the magnet. 2. The stronger the magnets, the better the results. We recommend neodymium magnets instead of ceramic magnets. 3. To achieve the same results of our pictures, you should use the same type and quantity of magnets. 4. The film identifies neither North nor South Poles. If you need a pole identifier, you can check out our pole detector offers. 5. Do not fold the film as it leaves a permanent crease.

**Q: I've previously purchased 5 sheets of 8x12" viewing sheets. I need to buy another 5 of those, or at least 8x8". Will they be available or purchase?**
A: yes, they are available for sale but I don't have the list any more. but you can buy 20 pieces of 6x4" and call us so we can cut to the right size since they are equal area. but be sure to call us so we can have the right size for you 972-516-0692

**Q: Is any option to deliver in India?**
A: we don't ship Internationally for Amazon.

**Q: is it a permanent picture like photo film or does it go away with enough time**
A: Its like a liquid crystal sheet.  The magnetic image goes away; yet there is a slight memory in the picture.  As soon as you bring it up to another magnet, that "ghost image" of the prior viewing goes away.This is very amazing stuff.  You can really see a 3D structure of the field as you move close and away from your magnet source.One drawback is gauss responsivity.  In other words, I dont thing fields below say 10 guass respond on the film.  I will test this later.

**Q: What are those little balls in the picture?**
A: there is no little balls. they are magnets but not spheres.

Bets value size wise on Amazon. However, this film is not very sensitive, so really only useful for viewing strong magnetic fields. Credit card magnetic strips are out.
