I was unsure of the karambit in general and the great, low price on this knife allowed me to try it out without spending a fortune. Now I am hooked on the design, but dont feel the need to buy more expensive versions as this hits all the boxes. It cuts well both on the forward cut and back cut with a needle sharp tip to get your point across .
