Natural indigo generally contains anywhere from 15% to 55% indigotin by weight depending on the crop, growing season and harvest. Skymorn’s Natural indigo generally tests at between 35% and 40% indigotin. - USE IN SOAP: In soaps, it can be added mainly in four ways to your soap: 1) One to two tsp per kilo of soap batter AT TRACE; 2) Making a COLD INFUSION with nine parts oils and one part powder; 3) HEAT INFUSION in oil of choice with the same ratio, wherein both are heated over slow flame for an hour or so and left overnight; 4) Boiling the powder in water and using the TEA instead of water. - USE IN PAPER & FABRIC: Using natural dyes for yarns, fabrics and paper require pre-dyeing preparations such as scouring and mordanting.
