The indoor version is lightweight but appears well enough constructed.I find the 2.4G Wi-Fi performance, which will naturally vary with circumstance, using a quality router is good with line of sight and usable at around 25m through a couple of walls. As my cameras ended up some 50m from their routers I have used powerline adapters for connection and these are working really well.Software - originally a mixed bag, but now much better:The browser based interface is better than others I have used although is still a little quirky. Management for recorded clips would be handy. Remote access has proved to be very reliable both over the local Wi-Fi and remote networks and it works with any browser. The phone/tablet apps have a well designed interface and give access to the more every-day useful functions.One of the best app features is that you can look up the camera's current external IP address and then use this to gain access via a web browser anywhere without the need for DNS forwarding.Quality Settings:If this is primarily a security camera I would suggest setting the primary stream to the 'great bandwidth' preset. If live viewing is too jumpy at this quality view in more moderate quality via the secondary stream - select the secondary stream in the browser interface or switch off 'primary(HD) viewing' in the app advanced settings.Update as of March 2015:I have experimented with recording quality settings and have found, for my situation of balanced remote live viewing and recording, simply using the primary stream with settings based around the 'generic bandwidth' preset makes the most from the bottleneck of the rural, sluggish broadband. As bit rate needs to be raised to benefit from higher resolution (and thus requires more bandwidth) the resulting clips were too large for me to conveniently stream/download. It would be a different matter over faster network.The software for use with the ios and Andriod apps have had revisions since my original review. They are now stable to the point that, although there's still room for improvement (eg. motion detection), Camera firmware needs to be requested directly from ucam as there have been issues with people upgrading to the wrong firmware.I do not have any major issues at the price point for the camera and now give this five stars over my original three. After fairly extensive research in this area, I have not found a better product at or near this price point.Update of January 2017:The units are still working away without having required any intervention. Indeed the only issues I have had are concerned with rural broadband speeds and spiders occasionally causing detection mayhem by spinning their webs over the outdoor camera cowlings.My D-Link & Foscam IP cameras, like many others, have issues with Windows10 security not allowing the required browser plug-in to run (after a little fiddling I did get Firefox to work) - no such problems here.Regarding the apps, the only real issue I now have is, with many hundreds of recorded clips, file management is still painful. Ucam - if you're listening:1. Time-line management for recordings please.2. I notice that the same camera is now available under another name at a better price so one star down for value. ### ⭐ Good at start but poor over time *by P***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 September 2017* I have now been using this kit for nearly 11 months and I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the product. At the start I was very pleased, the cameras were relatively simple to set up, the picture quality was good and the mobile app, albeit with limited functionality, worked well. However, it wasn't long before I started to experience issues. After about 6 months one of the cameras stopped working. I updated the camera and basestation software, as advised by Corsee, but this didn't fix the problem. Thinking it might be the positioning of the camera I swapped a couple of the cameras around and the replacement camera worked fine. I explained this to Corsee but only ever received the same answer - update the software - which I have done every time and with the camera only 2 ft away from the base station it still didn't work, in the end I gave up. A few months on and now 2 of the remaining 3 cameras only work for short periods. If you switch off and on the power they do work for a day or so but then stop, switching off and on the power again gives you another couple of days. I again contacted Corsee and have been told, (yes you guessed it) update the software. But now there is a different problem in that the camera doesn't recognise the software even though it did a few months before. It may be user error but been told by Corsee to use an Ethernet cable link rather than wifi to perform the software update. So much for wifi which was the main reason I selected this kit in the first place. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great wireless 1080P CCTV system easy to install and easy to access from anywhere *by M***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2017* Ordered this set without any previous experience in cctv systems and just based in the specifications which looked fine to me with 4x1080p wireless cameras, just what I was after. Went with the no HDD version and bought a separate 2TB HDD to install it myself.Instructions were pretty simple and graphic, the set even included the screws for the hard drive. The main unit was easy to open and the HDD was installed and worked straightaway.Then I plugged in the main unit to power and to a tv, installed all the cameras, plugged them to the mains power (the cables are quite long, about 2m I would say) and after less than a minute (20-30 seconds maybe) all of them were working and shown on the TV.Really it couldn't be simpler as everything is plug and play.Then I downloaded the iTunes app and register my account, linked it with the system ID, and then I could see all 4 cameras on my mobile. You can take shoots of any, change the resolution from standard to high resolution and even zoom in to check any detail from the picture. You can also record videos or access the local hard drive from anywhere. You will obviously need a good connection to access the local hard drive from anywhere through 3G/4G.The night mode gives a clear b&w picture and the IR leds are quite good. I would say that they cover a range of 10/15m easily but I only really needed about that so my cameras are not pointing beyond those 10-15m but may well work for about 15-20m as well or maybe more.I have tried to review recordings locally from the main unit and the quality is great. Size of recordings can vary depending on the light conditions but expect 1GB per hour recorded per camera, so 1TB should be fine to record all 4 cameras for 10 days, 2TB for 20 days... that's just using my average size values. The access to the recordings is fairly easy, pick a date and a time and in seconds you will get the video.I could not be happier with this system and so far it's been working for about 3 weeks 24/7.I would recommend this system to anyone looking for wireless cameras and 1080p definition.
