Real heaven-facing peppers are squat and conical, like miniature party hats. It's my fault for making this purchase based on the description and photo showing the labeling on the package, and not looking closer at the photo of the actual chilis contained. While the label on the packaging is correct (朝天椒 characters), the peppers within the packaging are certainly not the right chilis.
