I know Wilkinson makes awesome parts at an affordable price but these vari guass P style pickups really impressed me. They almost sounded like Jazz bass. Very clear and articulated yet they can get muddy too when you roll back the volume. I tested them thru a 20 watt Rumble with all tone knobs at 12 o'clock. That leaves room for more adjustments. Very impressive! Review: Worth it. - Definitely worth the money. I installed these in a basic Squire P bass and the improvement is instantly noticeable. More pronounced lows, less mids overall and crisper high end. I used a .033uF tone cap with the new pickup.
