This is a perfect addition. Lemax products are visually great but only last three-four years so I don't expect much from them. this was a replacement for a dead component. Time will tell but this appears sturdier than other items and so far it works as advertised and looks like I may squeeze 5+ years out of it. They come either with a single jack or a 3 output jacks. BUT do not use this Carnival Ride with a remote as it just freezes up. The lights will come on when it freezes but the parachutes won't drop. I have one of these that now sits in the very back corner of a large display so most won't notice the non-working parachutes. ehobbytools.com or villagesoffun.com will definitely have your needed adaptor. **Q: What kind of energy use** A: 12 volt. It make s lot of noise going down and up so I rarely turn it on. **Q: parasol quit working... power is on.. the snowflake unit lights are on** A: I have had the same problem before I have been able to correct this but recently not at all. Try this: Gently grab the strings on the alternate sides and pull down. Try this all the way around if you can get the parasol to comes down it will reset the computer inside and it will again work. I have found that you can't put this carnival ride on a remote. It will work on it's own extension cord but don't use a remote. Why I have no clue but that is what I have been told. Someone recently helped me start the set up and they placed this on a remote. This time I can't get the parasol to come down. I bought the lemax snowflake para drop last year in November. It ran 30 days last season was packed back in original packaging as all my Christmas village stuff is. Was stored in climate controlled storage. Took it out set up this year and ran 2 days then quit. city lights witch is the vendor refused to do anything about it. I normally would just buy another, but I have noticed that the lemax products are lasting less and less. I have had many, that had only worked 2 or 3 seasons, but this is to much. They also weigh much less then they used to probably because you cant buy in brick and mortar anymore so they need to be shipped. my guess is that quality took a hit in that. I have spent over $10,000.00 at least and was starting to collect a spooky town so I could do one for Halloween but no more. they should stand behind there product more then 30 days because they know that they are only used 30 days per year. I get 2000 guests per season to view my village and most take photos and post and share them. As it is set up in my garage with a false door with glass. I will be putting a sign this season do not buy lemax or from city lights. I wish I could give them less stars.
