The glass meant to drink from is just my lid and I drink from the carafe. One problem solved. (2) While not quite as disgusting as flies, our house cats do like to get up on my bathroom sink and I would prefer not to share my water with them. This set solves that as well. It is lightweight, so it is easy to handle. The glass is not very thick. It might not be all that durable, but it suits my purposes. It is crystal clear and looks very nice.

I thought it was rather small and my partner actually had a moment of surprise when he seen it and took over. Decided it was his to be and it is perfect for nightstand with the silicone at the bottom to keep it from sliding. Great buy for the price. I think I might just buy it for a gift in the future.
