For that purpose this does wonders! I love the fact that my brushes easily can fit in the bottom part and can hang dry all night and I don't have to worry about them falling out. However with that being said, my larger brushes they don't fit in the holes & even though I don't have many that are big it would be nice if they had a section, however I just put them in the top part so no big deal. Also, typically I don't wash my brushes as much as I need to but I noticed with this product I have to use a lot of product, maybe more than I typically would if I was just washing using the palm of my hands because clearly the water gets dirty really quickly & for me with too water it doesn't really suds up too well. A This has also motivated me to try to wash my brushes after each use or 2/3 uses which is probably better anyway to eliminate product buildup. Upon my first use also the cleaner got stained with makeup, which is probably normal but I tried to clean the sides and wasn't able to get it off, but that's okay, doesn't bother me too much, it was just a small annoyance. I love the fact that you can hang this item, as I just hang it on my sink faucet until the next day, the pink of it is beautiful & it's nice enough to keep on the counter if you like. I love that it can also be used as a container upright for brushes and it comes in 2 pieces, the base and then the hanger. Overall love this piece! Not sure why I bought 2 but I'm keeping them both!
