The design is bad for air travel. The cover is slip on with velcro fasteners. I have been using the X-large size for about 3 years. I purchase 3 of them 3 year ago, one teared apart but considering I traveled out of the country at least 3 times a year and about 3 times within the USA, this is a pretty good product.The only problem I have with them is that the velcro never comes even close to each other, my bags always get very full and puffy, so it is not their fault that I stuff my bags as much as possible.
