If the amplifier/speaker you are connecting to does not have a 3.5mm (1/8 inch) connector, you can purchase a '1/8 Inch to Dual 1/4 inch Stereo Cable Adapter' which will allow you to connect easily. **Q: Are the keys weighted?** A: According to the product description on Amazon, the keys are 'semi-weighted'. I don't know what the difference would be between semi-weighted and fully-weighted but it feels similar to a real piano. I think the difference between real and electric is - on electric, once a key is pushed down to a certain extent, it triggers a tone, whereas on a real piano, a tone does not occur until the hammer hits the string. I did notice on the KORG that, depending on how hard you hit the key, it affects the loudness but I am not sure it works that way for all instrument settings. **Q: Only with batteries. No adapter?** A: It comes with a cord to plug it into an outlet. The sound beats Roland and Kawai piano sounds for just being a keyboard. I've dialed up sensitivity to maximum. The lightness of the keyboard is where it shines; it's so light and easy to pack up and store in tight spaces. The perfect gig bag is: the Yamaha YBPN76 : It's for a 76-key keyboard, but fits this 88 keyboard perfectly (very snug. Can find it at Guitar Center).
