This lock is guaranteed for 10 years. This style of lock conforms to NHBC regulations for entry doors, and is commonly fitted by builders. However the Association of British Insurers (ABI) require all final exit doors to be fitted with 5 lever mortice locks conforming to BS3621. Without this standard of protection, your home insurance may be void. If you need to fit a lock to an entry door we would advise fitting an Eliza Tinsley British Standard lock. This lock does however offer a good standard of security, and providing its use does not contravene your insurance criteria, it will provide a high degree of protection. Under most insurance policies, this type of lock can be fitted to conservatory and porch doors.
