I would be planting small succulents/cacti** A: The way I did it is as follows:I put a small layer of crushed stone in bottomThen a mixture of cactus soil and bark, planted the succulents in it.I water mine sparingly once a week and keep them in sunlight. My terrarium looks great in it. **Q: Could someone please give me a capacity estimate in gallons?** A: Due to the slant of the mouth of this bowl, I estimate it would hold no more than a gallon of liquid. I use it for a fruit bowl. Overall feels pretty sturdy and looks pretty good.
