The locking mechanism is far better than average and allows for a much safer stow than the countless cheaply designed mid-range folding knives. The one complaint there is plastic components, they should have been metal. I also would say it's grip can catch occasionally on clothes, but overall it's a good trade for the utility when younuse it. We are a scout family that does a ton of outdoor activity, and can definitely say the quality of this blade is far better than competitors in it's price range.

The knife is solid and the edge holds up very well. We haven't had a particular instance to test the tip, but we also don't look to break them so we don't know until there's a unique situation. The handle has a good design and the grip is excellent. The locking mechanism is far better than average and allows for a much safer stow than the countless cheaply designed mid-range folding knives. The one complaint there is plastic components, they should have been metal. I also would say it's grip can catch occasionally on clothes, but overall it's a good trade for the utility when younuse it. We are a scout family that does a ton of outdoor activity, and can definitely say the quality of this blade is far better than competitors in it's price range.
