Holds mine very well. I ordered the Hakko Iron Holder 633-01 w/ 599B and the Hakko Desoldering Kit, with the 808 Desoldering Gun, 120 VAC with built in vacuum pump last year - Feb. 2013. The 633-01 holder works great with the Hakko 808 as well as soldering irons.
