## Questions & Answers

**Q: On this model does the metal sleeve at the tip of the pen slide in and out a couple of mm as the lead wears?**
A: The metal sleeve of the mechanical pencil slides in and out when you press the release button on top of it in order to release the lead. I hope I have helped you with your choice. I think that both the pen and the mechanical pencils are very good to be used on a regular basis. They are simple and elegant, also there are many different colors to choose.

**Q: What do I do if the lead is jammed? I can't find a way to open 'clutch' which is what is common on other mechanical pencils?**
A: I would go to a hardware store and see if you can get a very small diameter wire that you can insert into the end of the pencil to dislodge the lead.

**Q: Does the metal tip retract back into the body of the pencil?**
A: The metal tip does not retract. It's a very nice mechanical pencil. I have many of these over the years. I have never had one break, unfortunately I have a tendency to lose them.

**Q: Hello. Is this the original one? The tip looks a little weird.**
A: This is an original pen obtained directly from the CDA USA supplier and the tip reflects the fact that it is a mechanical pencil mechanism vs ballpoint pen.
