When we lost our house in a fire this summer, this was one of the first cookbooks I needed to replace because I used it every time I make scones. There are larger, more elaborate books out there, but this one is practical and usable, and has the BEST recipes. Directions are easy, results are amazing.The 'Classic Cream Scones' are my all-time favorite scones, but the Apriocot, White Chocolate, and Walnut scones come in a close second. Macadamia Banana Praline and Chocolate Chip Orange are also favorites. And that's just in the 'sweet' section. The savory scones, like Pesto Cheese, Potato Bacon, and Tex-Mex, are another great take on scones, and I love the section of 'spreads' recipes at the back. This book is tiny, but contains a lot of recipes for such a small space. All are simple to make, and simply delicious!
