Now I am the kind of person who often complains that books would be a lot thinner if the authors didn't repeat the same things over and over again, so why on earth was I disappointed before I even opened the book? Silly indeed! I have read another of Forbes Robbins Blair's books a couple of years ago but I left it in France where I used to live and now that I am in the UK and hoping that one day I will get my things back, I wanted to read that book again  More Instant Self-Hypnosis: "hypnotize yourself as you read"  but I wasn't willing to order it as eventually I would be left with two of the same book. That was when I decided to have a look at what else he had written and came across this one. I am just coming out of a terrible period in my life and I can use all the inspiration I can find in order to turn my life around. I am not the type of person who needs to be convinced of the power of the mind and of the subconscious as I have tested it over the years, sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously and believe me, it works. Forbes Robbins Blair is very passionate about self-hypnosis, which is the subject of the other book I own (which helped me to sleep big time) and his knowledge about the subject is apparent in this one too.The essence of the book is that we attract the good and the bad things that happen to us, so the trick is to learn to attract a lot of the good ones and little of the bad ones. First he explains the reason why to write a book on Manifestation by saying that this book is about stopping the manifestation you don't want and creating the one you want. Then he goes on to tell us that we are very powerful, something many of us have a hard time believing but believe me, if we did the world wouldn't be in the state it is in now. We have a lot of power but we either choose to ignore it or we don't know that we have it. Then he goes on to explain why manifestation doesn't always work and gives us the tools to make it work as often as we wish. One of the most important things is to be completely clear about what you want or else either you don't get it or it will take a long time to come. We also need to want to see when we get what we were asking for, because many times we go on with life, the miracles happen and we don't even see them anymore. He tells you about the 5 beliefs that block manifestation and how to give your manifestation an instant boost and also how to increase vital energy (I have bought a can yesterday so that I can put my water outside in the sun to soak energy). He also tells you about the 5 things that deplete vital energy and how to deal with them. There are also a few pages about how feelings impact your manifestations which include How to Generate Positive Emotions and How to Control Your Words and the importance of Silence in order to protect your manifestation. Then he talks about the techniques for manifesting without visualizing. I am not a person who has difficulty with visualisation but many people have, so this chapter is very important for those people. I found the bit about making a collage with our manifestations very interesting and immediately set about making a few collages because, as he says, if we use just one to manifest all our wishes it won't work as the energy will be scattered all over the place. Focus on one manifestation at a time even if you have a few going at the same time.I will keep this book somewhere where I can pick it up often, if nothing else to remind me of the things that I have got to learn and to change so that I attract only love, joy and abundance into my life. I believe that I have what it takes to live a very happy and fulfilling life and to contribute to the happiness of those around me. So, all in all, this is definitely a book worth buying! Manifestation Manifesto Meditation part was the most interesting fir me, as I had to use soundly for meditation every time I wanted to do meditation and that was a but had go me, before this book.
