Hi-Gear HG9048s Insta-Seal is a 236ml liquid ceramic-microfiber and copper-based engine block sealer that permanently repairs leaks in head gaskets, cylinder heads, radiators, and core plugs. Compatible with aluminum, cast iron, and plastic components, it withstands temperatures over 200°C and safely works with all antifreeze types. Designed to form a heat-conductive, flexible weld that lasts the life of your engine, Insta-Seal prevents costly engine damage by sealing cracks from the inside out.

## Description

Hi-Gear Insta-Seal quickly and permanently seals large and small leaks in blown head gaskets, cracked cylinder heads, heater matrix, core plugs and leaking radiators in all types of aluminum and cast iron engines. Insta-Seal is safe for use with all types of antifreeze. Insta-Seal will not harm the cooling system when used correctly. Hi-Gear Insta-Seal is formulated with ceramic micro-fibres and copper fines of varying size to ensure a fast and permanent seal of holes or cracks in the cooling system. The ceramic micro-fibers and copper flow into cracks so fine that they cannot be seen by the human eye to form an extra-strong seal within the crack or hole. The crack or hole is actually filled, from top to bottom, with the ceramic micro-fibers and copper forming a complete “weld”. Even through the ceramic micro-fibres and copper are fine enough to flow into the smallest of cracks, they interweave to seal even the largest of cracks and holes. Once the “weld' is complete Hi-Gear Insta-Seal lasts the life of the engine. Copper not only aids in creating an extra-strong seal, but it also conducts heat across the crack or holes thereby eliminating hot spots that normally form on the edges of a crack or hole. Copper is very friendly to all components in the engine. Hi-Gear Insta-Seal is formulated to expand and contract with the temperature changes of the engine and radiator during start-up, running and shutdown and is heat resistant to over 200 degrees C.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: After you use it you have to change the motor oil my oil  look like milk ?**
A: A water cooling system leak into the interior of the engine mixing with the oil lubricating system produces a yellowish off white foam.  Either a cracked block or head or a leaking head gasket are the usual suspect for this.  I even have had a badly leaking cooling tube under the intake manifold on a 4.6 Liter Ford that no coolant leak additive could fix--a removal of intake manifold and replacement of tube was the only fix.  It is very common for Aluminum head/block warpage due to even a one time overheating to cause head gasket leakage that only engine teardown and having the warp leveled can fix.  For reasonably small leaks, I have used radiator sealer to stop them.

**Q: Do you have to flush the radiator first?**
A: Yes, I would flush it first, then add the installation seal.

**Q: Does it says for how many cylinders it will work per .oz used**
A: Didn't work on 6 cylinder for me.

**Q: Will this work on a cracked block and water cooled manifold in a closed Mercruiser 5.7 liter V8 boat engine?  Thanks.**
A: It depends on how big the crack is.  If very big probely not.  My experience with with water manifold not likely.
