I wanted to hook up a nice gaming headset to my landline for work. The volume is extremely low because the phone line does not have enough power to properly drive the headset. This is not an issue with the adapter but rather an issue with the whole system. I also tried buying an amp to boost this sound but it overloaded my phone line and the home phone would not turn on. If you're having trouble hearing then just buy a phone meant for the deaf and hard of hearing.
