YES lens do not have problem focusing at full extend 600 mm...rumors about not focusing well at 600 mm I must disagree ....there is a lots this lens could have been .....but then we talking $2000 price or more ........I will be honest it's a lots of work shooting and tracking birds in flight with it ..IT IS NOT FORGIVING LENS ......However this is PERFECT LENS for larger wildlife, moose, bears or wolves....anything smaller will have soft focus at fully extended ...This lens should never be PRIMARILY LENS to professional photographer ...very good as a backup lens and as a BEAR LENS ...love it with all my heart ...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED under above circumstances for $1000 dollars perfect ware .....I love silent focus and so smooth .....COSMETICS is another story .....it is NOT PRESTIGE look that NIKON offer ...it is very cheaply done and those who never owned NIKON wouldn't know difference ...REMEMBER this lens DO NOT REPLACE NIKON quality ....PHASE TWOComing soon as.
