I had purchased several other brands and the "hatch" doesn't stay open and sometimes falls off.These lids not only stay open but come in a variety of colors other than silver grey. They are perfect for my use of making cold brew coffee and storing them in the large mason jars. The price is pretty good when you compare to other offerings. I use the built in loop to fasten them in the top rack of the dishwasher so they won't be tossed around by the spray.NOTICE: I did NOT receive this product for free or at a reduced price to make an "unbiased" review.
