Review: This will be my go to catfishing rod! - My personal opinion is that this should be marketed as a premium catfishing rod. Pros: The s glass rod is strong but has sufficient flex to it. The guides are stout enough to handle large fish. The chartreuse tip practically glows making it easy to see with low light if a fish is biting. The attention to detail is quite impressive. I'm not a fan of rubber handles and grips, but for a catfish rod, I don't know if it gets better. The butt is rubber and is comfortable for fighting large fish. I personally like 2 piece rods as they are easy to transport. Cons: I'm not a fan of the rubber handles, so they will take time to get used to. I always go with cork, but for a catfish rod, I think it makes plenty of sense. Really, if you know that this is a stout rod that works well for bigger bottom feeders and you buy it with that intent, I think you will absolutely love the design of the rod. On a separate note, I'm out of Texas and there may be uses up north that I'm not thinking of, but for down south, I'll use it for catfish . Also, the packaging is superb. It was in plastic, in a very strong tube, in a box.

My personal opinion is that this should be marketed as a premium catfishing rod. Pros: The s glass rod is strong but has sufficient flex to it. The guides are stout enough to handle large fish. The chartreuse tip practically glows making it easy to see with low light if a fish is biting. The attention to detail is quite impressive. I'm not a fan of rubber handles and grips, but for a catfish rod, I don't know if it gets better. The butt is rubber and is comfortable for fighting large fish. I personally like 2 piece rods as they are easy to transport. Cons: I'm not a fan of the rubber handles, so they will take time to get used to. I always go with cork, but for a catfish rod, I think it makes plenty of sense. Really, if you know that this is a stout rod that works well for bigger bottom feeders and you buy it with that intent, I think you will absolutely love the design of the rod. On a separate note, I'm out of Texas and there may be uses up north that I'm not thinking of, but for down south, I'll use it for catfish . Also, the packaging is superb. It was in plastic, in a very strong tube, in a box.
