I haven't taken muscle relaxers in a couple months, and now I only take ibuprofen rarely. I use this mat 20-25 minutes in the morning, and 20-25 right before bed. I got used to it pretty quickly, and use it without a shirt on. It doesn't hurt in the way you think it would. It's more like a sunburn, but not as painful. You would think the last thing you would want to do if you have pain, is lay on a spike mat, but it works. I call it my torture device (in a loving way). It's worth the $30 dollars to try it out and see if it works for you because it made all the difference for me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pain relief

I’ve been dealing with a frozen shoulder for over a year and have tried many different treatments with little to no success. Looking for some relief, I decided to give this acupuncture mat a try. I’ve only used it once so far, but my first experience was interesting. The first 5 minutes were pretty intense—almost “spicy”—and definitely required some focus, deep breathing, and relaxation to get through. After that, my body started to adjust, and by around the 20-minute mark, it actually felt very soothing. By the time I reached 40 minutes, I noticed a significant reduction in my pain. While I’m not claiming this is a cure for my shoulder issue, it did provide noticeable relief, which I truly appreciate. I plan to continue using it and will update my review if it makes a difference long term.
