It keeps the pink in her hair fresh looking so I tried it immediately when it arrived. I was nervous about using it, so I only left it in for 10 minutes first. The yellow was dimmer but not enough so. Then I put it in my hair again and left it on for 20 minutes. I love the way it left my hair natural looking with different shades visible, yet it dimmed the yellow. It made my hair smell like perfume. After the second wash, my hair felt dried out before I even dried it, so I put a conditioner on it to soften it up.
