It has recovered seamlessly from the few occasions where I have connected a load that exceeds its 500 W capacity, like not checking the current draw of my circular saw before plugging it and trying to use it. A second longer cut caused the inverter to shut down, but it immediately reset by flipping the power switch off and on. Exactly what one would hope for. When I am running four LED light fixtures, the fan rarely comes on. I used it outside inside in a solar generator enclosure to power a car radiator fan vent.... Worked really well no issues.. was surprised... Don't use supplied power cables that come with any inverter... Figure out what size you need and buy or make your own...
