Review: A Great Light Fitting. - Great light unit at a great price, tested and working OK, really bright, 100% satisfied with this item, it arrived adequately packed each piece was in it's own cardboard sleeve and then the everything is wrapped again in another box with the two bulbs along side the unit. The instructions are quite basic but personally I didn't find them necessary as the assembly is very simple and tends to speak for it's self so it is quite obvious what goes where.
Review: You need the correct instructions otherwise it’s a brilliant light! - I had installed the previous version of this light in another house, so luckily I knew what I was getting into so to speak. In fact the supplied instructions related to that exact previous/other model, which wasn’t much use with this one! Hence the comments in other reviews - it does make it a little testing and clearly we’re all being sent the same! I have just fitted this in my garage, replacing a single bulb so a dramatic improvement - I can now actually work in there and do stuff, no problem, which was the plan. First issue is the brackets, they must go in a precise position/width apart which I learnt by error first time. The tubes aren’t as delicate as somebody else suggests (makes them sound like egg shells!) but clearly you can’t knock them about, plus yes they are covered in protective cellophane so remove it after fitting completed - lack of instructions not helped any of us here! I suggests clicking the end contacts (4) for the tubes into the metal plate first of all, then fit the tubes as suggested by twisting them to end on the horizontal. You’ll then need to wire this up before this can be simply clicked into the base you will previously secured. I don’t follow the confusion of one reviewer just make sure you match L N & E and you can’t go wrong but ensure it’s tight and you isolate the supply first! The top lens/diffuser goes on quite easily, fit the clips first before you offer up the diffuser, it clicks together nicely. Overall, nice little project, I enjoyed the test and the light is superb, very pleased. I recall the other light I fitted also advised how you might fit these in series, so if you wanted two or three in a larger space.

**Q: Are the bulbs def 6000k? are I was under impression they were called daylight bulbs in that light range.**
A: Hi, I have the 1200mm 40watt led twin, it states on the package, 4000K. I have replaced a twin 4ft fluorescent in my garage, it's very good, far better light,  plus it's instantaneous light. Very impressed, being an electrician it was simple to fit and connect. Hope this helps.

**Q: Will these work with a sensor or do they need a swicth**
A: I have mine working from a switch but I would think if you have a sensor it will do the same job as long as it gets the right voltage I don’t see why not

**Q: Is this compatible with a dimmer switch?**
A: I’m guessing here, but I’m pretty certain it’s not.  The seller will be able to answer this better than me.

**Q: Do the tubes take power from one end only or are they double-ended (i.e. L on one end and N on the other)?**
A: The fitting has +very and-ve at one end.  These are not 'tubes' in the traditional sense so don't appear to have power at both ends.

Great light unit at a great price, tested and working OK, really bright, 100% satisfied with this item, it arrived adequately packed each piece was in it's own cardboard sleeve and then the everything is wrapped again in another box with the two bulbs along side the unit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good brightness and cable management

Overall, this is OK and I would probably buy again, mainly because unlike many other models, this allows you to connect you own cable, and it comes with a decent cable gland and internal terminal block. Also, the 'bulbs' are separate boxed items, which should mean they're replaceable, as opposed to other 'disposable' lamp types. It's as bright as I expected in my garage, and I might get away with just this single item, which is encouraging. Negative points: I would have preferred a 'frosted' lamp cover as opposed to clear plastic so that the light is more diffused and not so harsh to the eye. The overall construction is flimsy - all the plastic is very thin. The instructions are quite poor, for example it doesn't show installation step by step, there's just one diagram, so it's not obvious that the grey plastic parts are on a bayonet mount and need twisting to be removed, and that they connect to the metal brackets. There didn't seem to be any explanation about fitting the 'bulbs'. Fortunately I've installed normal fluorescent strip lights before, so knew what to expect. Overall, once installed and clipped together, it does a decent job.
