I massage the co-wash through my hair, and use a silicone scalp massager to really get it through the roots. I leave it on for a couple of minutes and then rinse out thoroughly. It doesn’t foam like shampoo so I do think you need to be thorough when you massage it through the roots to be sure you’re really getting everything covered. The oils really cleanse the hair well, without drying it out like a typical shampoo does. **Q: Would you need a separate conditioner?** A: My partner uses this, I asked him and he said that he doesn't use a separate conditioner, that it doesn't strip hair like combined shampoo and conditioners often do.
