The cabinet is a 1941 RCA radio made of wood. It belonged to my great grandmother. I carved out the inside enough for a mATX board with Wi-Fi but didn't want a rubber duck antenna sticking out the back. I chose this pair of antenna leads because they looked easy to position almost anywhere inside the radio. They arrived quick, fast, and in a hurry. I removed the protective layer from one side and placed them inside the cabinet. I was concerned about their ability to stick to bare wood but they held great. If they can remain attached to wood, I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't hold great in a more normal environment. Performance is more than acceptable. I connect to my 7 year old TP Link router at 768 megs which far exceeds my ISP connection. Range is very comparable to a laptop. It's quite good in my area but there's no WOW factor regarding the range, but I was WOW'd by the data speeds because I don't normally get that with my laptop. Everyone knows that Wi-Fi range is very dynamic and each setup will be different depending on construction, placement, barriers, proximity to other RF devices, etc. My advice would be to consider your own application and filter out the complaints.
