But, at £13.95 for 200g, it was worth a try. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find a very high grade (premium/ almost ceremonial) tea that was fresh in colour, rather good in taste and frothed well when stirred with a chasen. I've uploaded photos when compared with my supermarket Uji matcha from Japan. This matcha has an ever-so-slightly bitter after-taste, but I like that, although it may not be to everyone's preference. Certainly not a fishy smelling tea, unlike some of the other so-called Japanese matcha "ceremonial" matcha teas out there (which should not be consumed any other way except putting it in pancakes). Outside of Japan, matcha is always going to be more expensive, but this isn't a bad purchase if you're in the UK.
