Review: Good product, professionally packaged - I get acid reflux. I find chewing gum is a non-invasive, drug free way of managing the symptoms to some extent. However, I worry about swallowing too much plastic from regular gum. I was pleasantly surprised at how gum-like this stuff is. It’s firmer than regular gum and a little more abrasive than regular gum so a little more care is needed but for the potential health advantages I think I’ll stick with it. Apparently there is some evidence that there are medicinal benefits to chewing mastiha so that’s good. We will see. It’s probably a bit more expensive than regular gum but I’ve noticed that I don’t need many tears to get a gum-sized piece to chew on so I think the hundred grams should last. I might even experiment with flavouring it with a sweetener and perhaps a drop of orange or peppermint essential oil. The pine-like flavour it has is not unpleasant.
