## Features

- Latin - Common Names: : *Pistacia lentiscus* var. *chia* – Chios mastic, mastic gum, mastic.
- Naturally crumbly at first: Chios mastic may break into small pieces when you first begin chewing. For an optimal chewing experience, start gently and allow the resin to warm up and soften in your mouth for a few moments before chewing more firmly; it will gradually develop a smooth, gum-like consistency.
- Premium YouHerbIt quality from Chios, Greece – Pure mastic resin, also known as *mastiha*, sourced directly from traditional mastic producers in Chios with centuries of experience; authentic, unadulterated, hand-picked, and carefully packaged to preserve its natural aroma and quality.
- Chios mastic has a unique, slightly pine-like, resinous, earthy, and subtly sweet flavour. Enjoy it as a traditional chewing gum, steep a small piece in warm tea, or grate/crush it into desserts, pastries, beverages, and Greek recipes for an authentic Chios mastic flavour.
- Why YouHerbit: With years of experience, YouHerbit sources only the finest naturally grown herbs from trusted, certified suppliers. Each batch is lab-tested, carefully selected, and meticulously packaged to ensure purity, potency, and freshness.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: After soaking in boiled water can you drink the water? And can you eat/chew what's been soaked ?**
A: Hello,Yes, you can drink the water. However, please note that should you boil the product, Chios masticha tends to become unusable as its texture night change and its health benefits diminish.Should you have any queries or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.Kind regardsKonstantinos

**Q: if boiling can reduce the health benefits then why do instructions say boil them?!**
A: You can put it in sweets or tea

**Q: I have ordered this before 2 times, but Why are the pieces so soft this time and a lot bigger?**
A: Ot depends on temperature and how hard the tears were when harvested. Same goes for size, it has nothing to do with the quality. 😁

**Q: This is mix sized, i'm looking for small ones to make powder. do u sell small tears? does this contain inulin? how long it take from greece to uk?**
A: This listing is for small and medium sized tears which they can easily be ground into powder with a spice grinder. It is a 100% natural product and it doesn't contain any inulin or any other additives. Delivery to the UK normally takes 4-7 working days.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth waiting!
*by A***U on 2 October 2026*

Good product and a very helpful and attentive seller. Highly recommended!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mastica gum
*by S***M on 27 August 2026*

The best mastic gum , however the amount is small compared to the money. Thanks Amazon.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Feels great not chewing plastic
*by A***R on 19 September 2023*

Regular chewing gum is a single use plastic and doesn't biodegrade so I was searching for a natural biodegradable alternative as I am an avid gum chewer. And I am happy to say I have found just the alternative I was looking for. This mastic gum has a pleasant pine aroma and flavour, it removes plaque from the teeth better than standard gum and I can chew knowing I'm not putting more single use plastic out into the world. I'll be buying a big bag next time as this stuff is going to be my go to chew from now on.
