Then I replaced the original 512 Gb NVMe with this new 1 Tb, and restore the image = worked fine and have twice the original space. Review: Good, but a little pricey - TLDR: It's an alright SSD, but a lil pricey, decent read and write speeds, but no DRAM, fine for budget builds, but choose something else for higher end builds. What's included: just SSD in Anti-Static Packaging: It's pretty minimal, just a plastic container with the SSD in anti-static. A lot more "eco-friendly" compared to other brands if you care. Not much else to say, easy to open/take out, had no issues with this. Pros: The SSD is pretty decent, it's in the NVMe form factor so it's fast enough for most people. From testing, it hits the advertised speeds (2000 read, 1600 write) and is pretty smooth in the desktop. There's not much to say about this SSD, it gets the job done and is like advertised. Installation is simple just slot it into the motherboard and screw it in with the screws included from the motherboard. Cons: The price could be better - there are some cheaper options else where, but if you want something with prime shipping this would be the best option. Another thing to mention is that the images show a 2TB SSD, but the title states a 1TB SSD. Don't be mistaken it's only 1TB. This was most likely a small upload mistake by TimeTec but it definitely could throw customers off. Another thing is that this doesn't have DRAM, it's to be expected on cheaper/lower end SSD's like this one, but it would be a nice touch had they included it. It's fine to use as an OS drive for budget builds, but if you're spending over $1000 on a build, I would recommend you get a better drive. ## Features - NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 3D NAND QLC Breakthrough Read and Write Speeds: Sequential Read Speed up to 2,000MB/s and Write Speed up to 1,600MB/s, the advanced SLC Cache Technology allows performance boost and longer lifespan - An industry-leading 1,500,000 hours mean time before failure (MTBF) and up to 1000TB Written (TBW, Terabyte Written) for enhanced reliability - Support S.M.A.R.T. technology, TRIM command functions, Garbage Collection technology, Wear-Leveling technology, Support Bad Block Management, Support End-to-End Data Protection - Compatible with Operating Systems Windows 11 / Windows 10 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 8 / Windows 7, Linux 2.6.33 or later; Compatible with desktops and laptops that accepts M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen4x4 SSD, Compatible with PCIe Gen 4, Backwards Compatible with PCIe Gen3, Gen 2 and Gen 1; Support latest NVMe 1.4 protocol, Support the next-generation platforms of Intel and AMD - Included Contents: M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe4x4 SSD (All Other Cables, Screws, Brackets Not Included); Five years limited warranty with free technical support service (Timetec M.2 PCIe SSDs which are purchased on or after August 1, 2020 have a 5-Year extended warranty.) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BB8J5QFS | | Additional Features | Portable | | Best Sellers Rank | #112,087 in Computers ( See Top 100 in Computers ) #736 in Internal Solid State Drives | | Brand | Timetec | | Built-In Media | SSD | | Cache Memory Installed Size | 8 GB | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Laptop | | Connectivity Technology | PCIe | | Connectivity technology | PCIe | | Customer Package Type | SSD Protection Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 26 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 2000 Megabytes Per Second | | Digital Storage Capacity | 1000 GB | | Digital storage capacity | 1000 GB | | EU Spare Part Availability Duration | 5 Years | | Form Factor | M2 | | Hard Disk Description | Solid State Drive | | Hard Disk Form Factor | 2280 Inches | | Hard Disk Interface | PCIE x 4 | | Hard disk form factor | 2280 Inches | | Hard disk interface | PCIE x 4 | | Hard-Drive Size | 1 TB | | Hardware Connectivity | SATA 6.0 Gb/s | | Installation Type | Internal Hard Drive | | Manufacturer | Timetec | | Media Speed | 2000 MB/s | | Model Name | Timetec NVMe M.2 2280 | | Model Number | Timetec 1TB NVMe M.2 2280 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Read Speed | 3000 Megabytes Per Second | | Special features | Portable | | Specific Uses For Product | General Computing | | UPC | 765441347175 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Timetec - **Colour:** 2TB - **Compatible devices:** Desktop, Laptop - **Connectivity technology:** USB - **Digital storage capacity:** 2000 GB - **Hard disk description:** Solid State Drive - **Hard disk form factor:** 2.5 Inches - **Hard disk interface:** USB 3.2 - **Installation type:** Portable External SSD - **Special features:** Compact ## Images ![Timetec 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 8Gb/s M.2 2280 3D NAND High Performance SLC Cache Read Speed Up to 3,000MB/s Internal Solid State Drive for PC Laptop and Desktop - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51CbXuWQklL.jpg) ![Timetec 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 8Gb/s M.2 2280 3D NAND High Performance SLC Cache Read Speed Up to 3,000MB/s Internal Solid State Drive for PC Laptop and Desktop - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71OxYXqX8LL.jpg) ![Timetec 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 8Gb/s M.2 2280 3D NAND High Performance SLC Cache Read Speed Up to 3,000MB/s Internal Solid State Drive for PC Laptop and Desktop - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71CKgah7gEL.jpg) ![Timetec 1TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 8Gb/s M.2 2280 3D NAND High Performance SLC Cache Read Speed Up to 3,000MB/s Internal Solid State Drive for PC Laptop and Desktop - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mMGTT60CL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fine on Dell Latitude 5490 *by M***7 on 17 March 2025* Works fine on Dell Latitude 5490 ( Windows 10 pro): First, I made a bootable USB stick + a window's system image on an external disk. I highly recommend them. They work very constantly without and driver issues. I've not had any failures. I don't notice a difference in the Quilty or speed of this drive vs crucial or Samsung's budget options. They have a no frills packaging solution, which is refreshing, since that just gets thrown away. ## Frequently Bought Together - Timetec 256GB Portable External SSD USB3.2 Gen2 Type C Up to 550MB/s Ultra-Light Aluminum Mini External Solid State Drive with USB C to A Cable/USB A to C adapter for Desktops/Laptop/Mac/Mobile- Black - Stonebriar 96 Pack Multicolor Unscented 6 to 7 Hour Long Burning Tea Light Candles --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/570426676-timetec-1tb-ssd-nvme-pcie-gen3x4-8gb-s-m-2](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/570426676-timetec-1tb-ssd-nvme-pcie-gen3x4-8gb-s-m-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
