A: Yes they will bloom in Texas, they would need good shade with a little sunlight maybe 2-3 hours a day. Soil can be dry,they are drought tolerant but they like moist soil, not drenched. Water every 4 days. Because they are a mostly shade plant, you don't want there roots always wet.

A: Yes you can start inside. It would be alrigh to plant now. The cold will not hurt them.

**Q: What are "pips"? I received a bag full of what looks like roots. Planted weeks ago, no change.**
A: pips are the tip of each root that will flower. You want the pip very near the top of the soil. They love shade and frequent watering of well-drained soil.
