## Description

Charcloth ignites from a single spark from a ferro or carbon steel striker and flint. Slow burning, very hot fuel that will ignite tinder (dry pine needles, birch bark, lint, cotton balls, toilet paper, bird down, fatwood, fatwood dust/chips, shaved magnesium) very quickly by blowing or using pocket bellows on the charcloth that has been placed inside or wraped around your tinder. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it work if it gets wet?**
A: Going to need to either keep it dry or dry it out if it gets wet to be effective.  Always store your tinder in a safe spot and where it will remain dry.  An easy solution is a ziplock if not a sealed container that stores all you need to start a fire.  Those solutions are better than worrying about moisture and then being in the situation where its needed and not dry.

**Q: Can you use the cloth more than once?**
A: Sala,  the char cloth can only be used once to ignite a fire, as it burns in the process.   Enjoy your day.

**Q: What is the size of the o-rings for the piston, i have bought one and it comes with 12 ea. spares, just looking for more.**
A: Try your local hardware store or auto parts place to see if they can match the size and material

**Q: can this be safely stored in a hot car?**
A: Char cloth is designed to catch an open spark from flint and steel or a ferro rod or even a magnifying glass.  Sparks from flint and steel are about 800 degrees Fahrenheit.  Sparks from a ferro rod are much hotter.  This char cloth comes packaged in a reusable tin can with a tin lid that seals it airtight.  That said, I (personally) would have NO worries at all keeping this in my auto.  Hot car interiors probably do not come anywhere close to 800 degrees Fahrenheit.  Personally, I would have no worries, however you should use your own judgement.
