It keeps me warm at night without making me sweat, and i have used it year round. I've lived in places where you would think it would be too hot and it has never been too hot for my preference; unlike the fleece comforter from macy's that i just got rid of which was impossible to find a comfy temperature underneath, causing me to wake up several times at night completely drenched in sweat (even when its really cold). I'm 6'2'' and like the covers over my head, so my wife sewed 2ft of a sheet to the bottom edge to tuck under the mattress. The only down side is that I had to buy a California King size so that it would drape over the sides of my full sized bed.
