Is there a way to overcome this?** A: Hi, thank you for your question. This is Alec, the inventor of the GoGo Stik cleanup tools. Let me see if I can understand and help answer this question. To best see what I'm talking about please take a look at these very good videos that demonstrate how to properly use the GoGo Stik in scooping. (below) The first thing is not all poops are the same, right? Some are hard some and some are soft. Some are new, and some may be on the lawn a few hours or days which make them dried out or hard. You have seen that the softer ones will be the ones that you need to be a little more careful with, especially if your dog is sick and has a really messy one. See the required 1st video below for the technique I use in this situation. You can use the front of the shovel blade to scrape the grass surface. The key to a getting the job done in the cleanest way is to angle the the tool such that the shovel blade is forced under the front edge of your target. Pick up parts of the target that slide into the bag. Then repeat this as you do the job with a few scoops rather than trying to do the job all in one scoop. That way, only the top front of the bag gets contaminated rather than dragging the whole bag through it. No matter what, always take care to remove the bag with the handles and avoid the front top of the bag. It works really well for such a large task of clean up. I'm pregnant and this makes it a much easier and sanitary process for clean up. I'm not a fan of using a shovel and bucket because I seem to make more of a mess that way and we have a very large yard to haul them both all over the place.The only downfall I have come across is when trying to scoop frozen poop from the grass the adjustable handle can come loose and collapse on me. Not a huge issue to fix and only happens when it is really stuck during winter. If I hold lower down on the handle it fixes that problem. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but the bag doesn't always stay on. *by T***D on April 26, 2022* This is probably the best and sturdiest shovel I've ever used for a pooper scooper I liked the idea that I could put a bag over it to keep it clean but in reality it doesn't work that great it's easier to use it without a bag and just rinse it off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have for people with Lower back issues *by J***C on June 26, 2019* I purchased this product after I had a lower back spinal fusion and could not bend for many months.
