The adhesive is very strong and so is the velcro. It was a little to wide (at 1") for some of the application I was using it for, but was easily trimmed down. This is no fault of the product itself, just some extra information to help you decide if this will work for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Mixed results - not for fabric, permanent hold only *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 August 2017* This is an interesting one - first of all I must say the inside (hook and loop) part is very strong, which is mostly a good thing if you want to stick it once and leave it there (I stuck a mirror on my wardrobe and it is a very strong hold).If you want to use it to detach 2 parts of the tape from one another, this is where you will run into problems. The hook and loop (inside) hold is so strong that sometimes it will peel the whole strip from the surface (wall) or from the product (whiteboard for example). On occasion I peeled the strip together with the paint from the wall, so be very careful when removing these strips. So good to "attach and forget", but not for detaching multiple times.Additionally, I tried to attach a greenscreen to the wall (both synthetic and 100% cotton) and it would not hold AT ALL, no matter how hard and long you press the material to the adhesive strip.
