## Questions & Answers

**Q: I know these aren't waterproof, but can these withstand light splashes of rain?**
A: I havent used them in the rain but id imagine they'd be fine with a bit of surface water.

**Q: Can you use universal tripod adapter?**
A: They have a 1/4 inch bow threaded hole for a tripod adapter so the answer would be yes.

**Q: if I was standing on a 100m track with these binoculars and their was runner at the end how much of them would I be able to see in detail?**
A: am sure you would be able to see all of the front of them... they are very clear

**Q: are these any good for viewing the night sky?**
A: Hi Kirsty

I actually have the 7 X 50 (despite what Amazon may believe). There are differing views on what format is best for viewing the stars. Probably the best approach is to say that it's a question of horses for courses. To get a general view, 7 X 50 are good. To see a bit more detail, 10 X 50 are good. To see even more detail, something like 15 X 70 are good. And so on. All other things being equal, 7 X 50 will be brighter than 10 X 50, but you may prefer the extra magnification of the 10 X 50. IMHO, the 10 X 50 will be good for viewing the night sky - a useful compromise. My Praktika 7 X 50 are great value for money: sharp and bright. I assume that the 10 X 50 will be equally good in terms of quality-price. Btw, the higher the magnification, the heavier the binoculars tend to be and the harder to handhold because of weight. The more magnified the image, the more it jumps around when you handhold, too. 10 X 50 is probably ok to handhold for shortish periods, especially if you adopt the approved holding techniques (see appropriate information sources for advice on this). Hope this helps.
