The vent holder, you just jam it as hard as you can onto one of your vent fins. There is no locking so any movement, say a sharp turn, throws your phone and holder onto the floor. Now the ball and socket mating, vent adapter is the ball side and the phone holder is the socket side. This is a you jam the ball into the socket and tighten the ring. It randomly loosens over time and your phone then flops down due to it's weight and once again falls on the floor. If you use your heat and can't turn off the flow to the vent being used, again flops down and phone is on floor. I think i will try taking a paper towel and wrapping it on the ball before i jam it into the socket part as a shim but still allows some movement. UGH ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for S6. Fails on Note-8. *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2018* This works well with the Samsung S6. It does NOT work with the Samsung Note-8.The bottom alignment edge is correct for the S6, so my wife is using it in her car.
