We have all been suffering from sarcoptic mange courtesy of a local fox. My pets have been diagnosed by a Vet and myself by a private Dermatologist. As this has been ongoing for almost three years I have spent many thousands of pounds trying to cure my pets and myself. I tried endless chemicals via the Vet in a bid to help my pets. More chemicals than I had used in the previous 25 years of dog/cat ownership, such was my despair. The options for my pets had been exhausted and even taking oral ivermectin tablets only provided temporary relief for me. I was advised on the basis of “quality of life” to consider ending the lives of my pets. Honestly, I could see no point in carrying on without them since they mean everything to me. I used the matching spray twice a day as well. My rescue dog on and off has had skin problems since we got her. We tried many products and found a variety finally got rid of it and keeps it away. We didn't want to use chemicals on her. We used a sulphur wash because her skin was so sore and that really helped but we had to do it every few days and let it dry on her - not easy in the winter! So we tried KG as well and that really helps too. We also bought some flowers of sulphur powder and we now alternate between a wash of KG (don't rinse) just on problem legs now or a dusting with sulphur powder. Probably now do one of each per week - before a walk. Would be interested to know if you try KG on its own if it does the job. If you use sulphur (wash or powder) keep it away from any silver jewellery or it will tarnish. Good luck! **Q: So the shampoo would normally not be rinsed off? I have also bought the pet spray** A: KG pet shampoo is all you need to use, it doesn't need to be washed off as it is very low lather. Its always nice to rinse away any grime, dead fleas or mites. For every day protection use the KG Pet Spray after shampooing to prevent re- infestation or just daily odour control, use the KG pet spray by spraying and rubbing into the coat on return from walks if a dog or other to keep your pet clean with out loosing the natural oils on the skin. Don't forget the bedding to keep it clean and fresh . Spray anywhere you know it would be safe to spray water. The enzymes keep on working where ever the mist spray falls to clear dust mites and other pests we can not see. **Q: Do i wet coat before shampoo,and rinse afterwards as you would normally** A: Hi, You can just make up the shampoo as directed and wet the coat with it slowly while massaging as you go along. Start from the back of the head and shoulders working down to back end and legs. The product is low lather so once you have covered the coat and rubbed into all areas such the ears. Rub up with a towel and allow the coat to dry naturally.
